A one-month infant kid was found in the hedge behind Sharia Court of Appeal in Abaji, the Federal Capital region last Friday.

It was accumulated that a farmer found the infant wrapped by a fabric and soaked by the early morning storm behind the Sharia Court while setting off to his homestead.

An occupant known as Ibrahim, who addressed Daily Trust, in any case, said the child later passed on after he was taken to the emergency clinic by authorities from the Social Welfare Department of Abaji Area Council.

"Tragically the tyke later kicked the bucket on Saturday night at the clinic and I trust it might be because of the overwhelming precipitation that he infant was left in. I wonder why a few ladies are unfeeling, if not, why not keep the child where individuals can without much of a stretch see it rather than in the bramble," he said.

The Abaji Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Umar Musa, said he was cautioned that a child kid was found dumped in the shrub behind the Sharia Court in the territory.

He said cops were sent to the scene and passed on the tyke to authorities of the social welfare branch of the region committee, including that they were examining the occurrence.

"However, I am not mindful that the child has kicked the bucket if not since you are letting me know but rather I will discover from the social welfare office," he included.
