[Graphic Photos] Police gun down suspected armed robbers in Rivers State

Police working under the code name, 'Activity STING', shot dead two Armed robbers on Saturday September 7, at Rumuagholu in Obio/Akpor LGA of Rivers State.

Representative of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, who affirmed the occurrence, said the police while following up on a trustworthy data trailed a Black Mazda vehicle with Reg.no KNM 504 Rivers with four suspected armed robbers on board who were en route for an activity.

"On locating the Police, the robbers promptly hopped down from the vehicle and opened fire on them and in an arrival shoot two of them were lethally injured, while two others got away with hazardous gun shot injuries.


He expressed further that after the experience, the accompanying Exhibits were recouped: One AK47 Rifle, Eighty Three (83), rounds of 7.62mm, Two Magazines, One Pump Action Gun, Four Cartridges, and Operational vehicle.

Police guaranteed that they have proclaimed manhunt for the rest and endeavors are intensely on to capture different individuals from the fatal pack on the run.

"The Public and  occupants of Rumuagholu and Rumuokoro are ordered to expand their security awareness and report any individual or people with weapon shot injuries to the closest Police Station by means of the accompanying security numbers: 08032003514, 08098880134,08182157778"

Omoni guaranteed that the Command will skewer no endeavors in managing every single criminal component in the State, particularly in these EMBER MONTHS,( between September-December) and requested collaboration in this in seizing hoodlums in the state.
